Pastor Lukefahr's Message

April 2017

Consider joining us for the 61st Annual Easter Sunrise Service
Holy Week is sometimes described as the most important week in the Church. I hope you will adjust your schedules to attend these special worship services, especially our 61st Sunrise Worship.

Palm / Passion Sunday - Sunday April 9th 10:15 AM: Holy week begins with Palm / Passion Sunday Here we reflect upon Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. We reflect upon the suffering that Jesus endured, His arrest, humiliation and crucifixion.

Maundy Thursday – Thursday April 13th, 7:00 PM: Maundy Thursday receives its name from the New Mandate or New Commandment that Jesus gives His disciples to love one another. We reflect upon this new mandate and the gift of the Lord’s Supper.

Good Friday – Friday April 14th 7:00 PM: The name Good Friday may come from God’s Friday, a reminder that on that day God was at work redeeming the world through the suffering and death of His Son.

61stth Community Easter Sunrise Worship – Sunday April 16th 6 AM at the North Ball Park. Pastor Bahr began this event as a gathering at the Drive-in Theater. Pastor Lange, Pastor Appold and myself and Pastor Schlueter have the privilege to continue this gathering. Join us in sharing the Resurrection Account or tune in to KLTE 107.9 FM.

Easter Breakfast at Faith Lutheran – April 16th, 7:15 AM. Our Easter breakfast will begin around 7:15 AM. It will be a fund raiser to help Pastor Schlueter offset the cost of his current medical bills.

Do not fear for the Lord your God,
